  • Song-my Hoang

    Song-My graduated from Pitt in 2015 with a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology. Currently, she is a Field Application Scientist (FAS) at LUMICKS, a biotech focused on measuring binding avidity between immune and target cancer cells to accelerate the development of immunotherapeutic strategies. Song-My travels to leading biotech, pharma, and academic institutions to conduct scientific demonstrations and trainings, as well as build long-term relationships with LUMICKS’ customers. Song-My is a core member of the Business Development team, where she interfaces with R&D, Product Management, and Sales to deliver long-term growth strategy of the business.

  • Krishna Subramanian

    Krishna Subramanian is a Senior Director, Non-clinical Development at Alcyone Therapeutics Inc., a gene therapy company based in Boston Area. After completing his post-doc following his graduation from PITT (CNUP 2013), he transitioned to industry as Head of Pre-clinical research at Alcyone where he has since worked. He helped medical device development, partnered drug delivery with bg Pharma, fundraising, diligence and helped move the company upstream as a Therapeutics company this year. Krishna (Krish) leads the non-clinical development of therapies to the clinic. He also works with biomedical engineers on a daily basis to translate medical devices and engineering solutions and principles to treat human diseases.

  • Austin Nuschke

    Austin Nuschke is a Senior Medical Science Liaison at Amgen, a Biotechnology company based in the Los Angeles area. After completing a 1 year post-doc following his graduation from Pitt (CMP ’15), he transitioned to industry as an hematology/oncology medical liaison where he has since worked covering the Pittsburgh area and, more recently, New England. Austin currently supports early phase oncology clinical research spanning immuno-oncology and targeted therapeutics in multiple myeloma, acute leukemia, and lung cancer.

  • Sophia Jeon

    Sophia Jeon is a Health Science Policy Analyst in the Office of Science Policy and Planning at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), which is a part of NIH. She graduated from Pitt in 2014 with a PhD in Immunology. While working at the NIH as a post-doc for two years, she became interested in transitioning to a career in science policy. Since 2016, she has been working on science and research policy issues, including legislative and Congressional activities related to neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, ALS, and myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome.
